Hello from Arkansas

Postby 69-F100-360 on Tue Oct 27, 2009 12:03 am

Hello everyone,

I'm just finding out about this place after looking up things I can do to "try" to get the 360 to gain a few more MPG.

I've owned a few Ford trucks in the past, a 59 with a 223, a 65 swb with a 240, a 69 with an unknown inline (I just drove it when I was in high school, got it in trade for a camaro), a 79 swb with a 302...and now the one that led me to the display name I chose.

My favorite body style has always been the 67-72, and I actually prefer LWB trucks to the SWB versions for some reason...to me it just says "TRUCK," that is, a utilitarian vehicle meant to haul things, yet classy enough to drive to church on sunday morning.

Other interests/areas of experience have to do with Music, Visual Arts, and vintage/antique/kustom/hot rod vehicles from a time before fuel injection, electronic ignition, and computerized controls became "popular." Of those older vechicles, I really don't have a favorite...I just love tinkering with what is considered obsolete technology these days, be it Ford, GM, MoPar, imports, what have you.

The truck is an on-going project that gets driven almost daily, as soon as I get some decent photos I'll post them.

I'm looking forward to learning and maybe even submitting something that might be of help if I can.
