New person from Central NC

Post by RSharpe »

Hello all, So glad I found this site. I am starting to put together a game plan for a 67-72 F100 shortbed project. I promise not to bend yalls ear to much.

I am hoping to find a 1969. I just like the grill. I would be happy with a simple 390 and do a mild upgrade of a 4 barrel setup, mild bumpy cam and headers running 3 inch purple honies. I would like to put a toploader 4 speed behind it. I plan to lower it a little (not a scraper). 16 or 17 inch wheels.

I am 62  so there won't be any street racing  I am not out to build a trailer queen. I may show it off at local shows just to get out of the house. Any other old farts out there? anybody here near Raleigh, NC? :D

Welcome!

Charlotte here, so not close, but a lot closer than most.

There are a few folks in Raleigh/Durham... Today I am headed over to buy part off of one of them... ;)

If you put your location (region/state) in your profile information (<--Shows by your name) it makes it easier to find people close to you.

Best of luck to you!

Been surfing the site and found out I have had a lot of 69s.
An LTD, Torino Fastback, Fairlane (3), and a Falcon. Must be why I want a 69 F100 so bad.
