If I were you I would check out http://onceuponapart.com/ it looks like he redoes emblems and reprints the decals for these special packages! Good luck finding the contractor boxes, I've only ever seen one pair online before!

Thanks for the reply. I knew about onceuponapart but originals would be nice. I know these parts are hard if not impossible to find. I never heard about a contractor special until I bought this truck then a few days later I saw a truck with contractor boxes on it about a block from my house.

That's going to be a hard search for sure. I've never seen the contractor box's in person. I had a truck with the onan generator in it before.

Agreed but i bet someone's got them in the back of a garage somewhere just taking up space. This is the truck that's about a block from my house that has them.

The contractor special "emblems" were simply decals placed on the side of the truck. To find originals of those is going to be pretty near impossible.
Also, if you look at the ad from the contractor special above, you notice that the boxes look removable and only are placed on the bed sides. The green trucks boxes do not look very removeable, and the box doors go much lower than the bed sides. They almost go all the way to the "bump". So I'm not so sure that those are true contractor special boxes...
But I wish you the best of luck in your quest!

Good eye. I didn't notice the difference in the boxes. I ordered the 69 decals from onceuponapart.

The white steel boxes were popular before thin diamond plate aluminum became the fad and were made by a bunch of different shops. Should be pretty easy to find a set of generic boxes from a junk yard and repurpose them. The genset fender is going to be near impossible to find, same for the HD left front spring. Older Onan's are pretty common and stayed the same for years. Root around the old RV's in junk yards and you'll probably find one.

Contractor boxes are still made by a company called weatherguard in smooth finish and diamond plate, pricey though

Thanks for the tip. They are a pricey new though. Any idea which model? there's about 5 on their website that look like them. There's a black smooth metal set on ebay for $500, (local pick up only)
