Am I dumb?

I wouldnt consider my self to be a truck know it all.. but this is the first place ive heard the trucks reffered to as "Bumps" can someone please explain.. ive asked all my buddys and they never heard of it either guess thats what i get for living in a small ohio town Thanks

No it is asked here all the time. The ridge running on the sides of our trucks is "bumped" out. 73-79 are called dents because they are dented in in the approximate same location. The body side prior to ours are called slicks.

1981 Buick Regal ( My deceased uncles last project/driver....renamed project Regal Eagle to be finished in his honor)
1990 Ford F-150 ( Miss Yvonnes Daily Driver )
