This post has really taken off!
There is a little copper tang on the inside of the rag joint that bridges the horn pad/bar (a ground signal). Install a jumper wire across the rag joint and test your horn again.

And what did I do to my Bump? Well, I backed off the static timing from 12° to 6° BTDC because it was bucking when I get flat-footed. Reset the EFI idle speed, and it's running great with no hesitation. Cleaned the battery posts and terminals with baking soda and water. Applied petroleum jelly judiciously.... I'll switch to an AGM one of these days.

shortened my exhaust to become side exit just before the rear fenders. Plus lots of other welding touch ups while the exhaust was out.

Im loving the deep rumble.

Put on new master/wheel cylinder and shoes.
Took it out for a short drive. It still needs work, but first
Thing I want is the proper throttle return spring.

Installed my new tail gate with all new hardware as well. I Was surprised on how easy it is to open and close now..I don't know if it was money well spent but I'm impressed with the ease of operation.

Earlier this week, paid a shop to replace my oil pan(badly needed) and motor mounts(also badly needed).
Just haven't had time to deal with lifting or pulling the engine. I had all the parts so labor wasn't bad.
Today, replaced the valve cover gaskets with rubber ones and did some lite body work.

The oil pan was seeping all the way around and the PO had destroyed the drain threads and glued the plug back in- guess he never intended to change the oil again... The drivers side valve cover was also leaky. No more oil drops on the ground now :D

Dropped a load of metal to the scrap yard. Need to do it again, but loads are too small with the LPG tank in the bed. Decided to post it for sale. $1,000 without the propane system. I have the carb and electric fuel pump but no tank yet. Includes the 6 x 9' flatbed deck i have. Available in a couple weeks (I'm moving)

Got it back from my mechanic, with new brake job (master cylinder, lines, shoes), re-packed wheel bearings, timing adjusted, new points, new condenser. Purrs like a kitten (well, a kitten with an exhaust leak...).

Washed it, tried not to look at the surface rust.

Put on new wiper blades. Just the basic Trico blades from O'Reilly's.

I like the Duralast winter blades from AutoZone. They are the ones with the rubber covering on the frames. I've been quite happy with them.

Bosch blades are about the best I've found that don't decompose and streak after four months, just saying.

Per the truck, it's been getting used as a truck and mobile work bench as the oldest son and I install some privacy fence around the property. Going to haul some goat food and a bunch of scrap metal to a friends today. Spring cleanup, yay.
