I’m honored next week to be able to reenlist again.
I can still remember when you first came here and had en;listed-MY HOW TIME FLYS!

Congrats Adrian / thank you again for your service to our great nation and rest easy that there are those of us who really do know the price you pay for our freedom, (former SSN-646 / LSD-38). I got offered $16K as a MM# to re-enlist back in 83' when I got out and turned it down. I wanted to get married and the life of a squid along with marriage just didn't seem to go together like P & J to me.
But now...of course I speak like my Father who was Korean War USN and says he wished he would've stayed it.

Hey Adrian, I was in Sicily at sigonella NAS II this week for water treatment training for the Navy and saw a C-5 come in and land. I wondered if you were on it when I saw it land. Those things are beautiful. I envoy your life and also thank you for your service. Happy anniversary and thanks for reupping.

Thanks! Fortunately, that wasn't me as I don't have to work on C-5's. Maintenance nightmare that those guys have to work twice as hard to do the same thing I do on C-17s.

Ten years was last week, and this was the third time I put the hand in the air. Hope to be able one more time in four years.

Thanks friends. After some tech difficulties, got a second angle. Going on camping NASCAR vacation this week, so I'll be back to posting the next batch of edited photos when I return to the land of internets.

Well friends, hit a goal on today's mission of 2500 hours in the air. I'd like to thank all the crews that have driven me this far.

:yt:
Also a lot...more than I too Jerry LOL!
Hey Adrian is this former nuke sub sailor reading that instrument right at 35K feet in the air at 250 knots?
For folks who didn't know other wise a "nautical mile" is equal to 1.15 "ground" miles, so Adrian flying around up there in that huge aircraft at like 287 MPH!

Hope the race played out as you wanted. Used to be a die-hard fan but no more it's "evolved" into something I don't agree with. :(
And thanks again for those frequent flyer miles you do to keep our air space free from ET trying to get back here!

Thanks, but not quite. That is indicated air speed, not true air speed. Usually equates out to about 550ish MPH on the ground speed.

Well friends, when photobucket **** the bed with hosting, it kinda killed my motivation for posting trip pictures. Bloggers everywhere thought they would cave, and bring it back, but they are still holding strong with a 99buck a year ransom. Screw those guys. By popular demand for a third of that cost, gonna get back at this with a new website ADRIANSPEEDER for my image hosting.

Trip 137 2016-10-06 Haiti Photoset

Look at any worldwide disaster of flood, famine, fire, earthquake, tornado, typhoon, or hurricane, and before the network news cameras start rolling to get the first news coverage, there is already a C-17 quick-turning in the background for the next load. Last October, it was time to gas up the tanks, and head to the third world disaster of Hurricane Matthew bringing over 200k pounds of aid to Haiti in 2 trips. The jet didn't act up a bit, and I never unlocked the toolbox.

First stop was into Honduras where we worked out of, and was the collection point of supplies.

Image

Gear down. Before landing check complete.

Image

"It'll be like camping." Uhh, my camper is a lot nicer than this. "Where are we, Vietnam?" Just typical chair force lodging jokes. It was actually a nice setup with AC and Wi-Fi.

Image

This place ain't bad at all. Got cold Colorado Kool Aid!

Image

Short walk to dinner, but the menus weren't in English, or have pictures. Point and pick roulette didn't pick up anything good looking, but it turned out damn tasty.
