Brittney blue f-100?

Post by Bronco_77 »

Any body have any pics of a Brittney blue truck. After looking at tons of factory paint chips I think it's the closest thing to what my truck is. Would just to see it on a few trucks.

I've been following your build with some interest - have you ran the data plate to determine what colour that truck was from factory? Check out:

Looks like Brittney Blue wasn't an offering in the regular 1968 bumps, but anything was possible those days.

Here's a newly restored bump they claim is Brittney Blue and W.white.

Yea it was originally sky view blue and Wimbleton white but it was wrecked when my grandpaw got it in the early 80s and he went back with solid blue.

I wouldn't say wrecked - both colour choices you mentioned look great on bumpsides. I prefer a subtle contrast for 2-tone trucks for longbeds, but most other original color combinations look good on shortbeds. I floated 3-4 colour choices for mine for about a year before I finally settled on my 2-tone combo (even my wife didn't feel comfortable weighing in on a colour choice - if you can believe that!). At the end of the day, it is a very personal decision... :D

That's funny my wife won't pick anything either said I would just blame her if I didn't like. I really like ur truck that's one of my favorite color combos my dad bought a 86 f150 that same combo rite before I was born. i thought bout going back with the two tone on mine but it's not the way I remember it when I was a kid. I've do so much to it I still want people to know it was my papaws truck when they see it.
