What options do CS models have the others don't.

Post by AlleyCat »

I've been reading posts for the last few days trying to figure out exactly what equipment came with a Camper Special package. My newly acquired 70 F250 has most of the CS stuff but it's not marked as one. Drive train is a 360, C6 with 3.73 gears. Factory p/s, p/b and a/c. The GVW on the rating plate is 7500. It has the dual diaphragm booster, dual piston front calipers and what appears to be the wider rear drums. It also has an auxiliary gas tank with a skid plate that looks factory and the side mounted tool box. There are no sway bars but I've seen other C/S's that didn't have them. I looked at the rear of the frame in search of any auxiliary power connections but the wiring there is a rat's nest of scotch locks and tape. Anything else I can look for? :)

there should be some relays behind the glove box that click when you turn on the headlights. those are for the camper wiring.Normal trucks dont have them. Also, normal trucks dont have Camper Special emblems so theres that.
