It was a really good weekend. I fired the big block for the first time. Runs very nice, crisp throttle response.
Here are a few videos of the start up.( this was taken with my phone, sorry for the quality ) It is being started with open shorty headers. muffler system will be built this week along with the new winch bumper. Enjoy! :woohoo:

That's cool!

Just curious, how do you get to the ACC option for just the radio and stuff?

I don't know how his works, but on our new SHO you have to press the brake to start. For ACC you have to hold the start button for 4 sec without pressing the brake. It would be interesting to know what kind of kit was used to retrofit here.

Thanks guys! I am going to make separate switches for the ignition, accessories, fuel pumps etc. So to start it for example I will need to arm the system, arm the ignition, start the fuel pump and hit the start button. There is alot to do here but this adds to the difficulty in stealing my truck :D
There is going to be an overhead console with all the switches. including the ARB lockers and load leveling system. I will start building that in a week or two.
The A/C controls, wipers and headlights will be mounted on the dash under the dakota digital instrument cluster.

Your crew is cooking along. I bet that engine has buckets of torque to it. i cant wait to see the finished product.

Re: 4X4X4 digital dash / headliner stuff

I hope it has lots of torque and power too! Gonna need it! this is one heavy truck.
here's a few shots.

I took measurements of the roof radius of the rear cab and made a forming jig for the headliner. I have chipboard that I will wet down and clamp it to this so I can have a formed rear headliner to glue the material to.

I am a hard core FE guy as well. I needed more cubes so I had to go with this 385 series. Bored and stroked to 557.
Headed to the exhaust shop. Just barely fits on the trailer.

The truck is looking great. Keep up the good work.
