for the love of god, why is a pedal mount swap so involved? it all starts with a squeaky clutch pedal and turned into 8 hours of headache. at first i thought that i had lost one or both of the nylon bushings in the bracket so i pulled out the clutch pedal and was just going to replace them with the one's out an auto assembly i had. well they were both intact. It was the aluminum? bushing retainers that had broken loose. so i just decided to swap out the whole bracket. i knew about the different length rod for the master cylinder because i had tried to swap the one off of my 69 onto there when the one on the 67 went toes up. but after going through the trouble of changing everything out i could find the rod.

. thankfully the auto brake pedal used the right style of brake light switch as the 67 and had the longer rod. also i had lost brake lights durring the swap and it turned out to be a corroded contact in the fuse block and not a lose wire plug like we thought for a couple hours. in the end i have squeak free pedals and a helper spring on the clutch that was missing before.
