I am now going to make a sandblast booth out of tarping so I can blast the frame in the garage and keep the mess to a minimum.

Been cleaning the frame in the garage using hand tools. It got to cool and dark outside in the evenings now. It is coming out pretty good, will have some pics to post soon.

Well the weather and time are taking its toll now. I reverted to grinding and hand sanding the frame. It is actually working pretty good.

Ordered a new wiring harness today. Found that Autozone has 20% off when you buy online so looked and found a universal Painless set-up p/n 10102. Then found out Painless has a $150 rebate, so when all done it will cost about $180. That was a smoking deal.

Just a small update. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Received the new wiring harness, looks really nice with great instructions. Sent the rebate in and will wait to see that. Have to get my front crossmember started also going to make a new rear one as well for a trailer hitch. Hope to have some pics to post this weekend.

No updates. Spent the weekend doing yard work honey do list and had to replace a coil on my 2003 f150. Took four days for the damn thing to throw the code for the one that was bad.

Wow, I was making good progress. I have to get back at it. here is my plan for the next week or so;
1) Measure and cut the new front cross member.
2) Measure and cut the new rear cross member/trailer hit mount.
3) Continue cleaning up the frame.
4) Investigate the cab mounts, ( I have an original ford set and a replacement Energy Suspension set) they differ in size and need to figure out why?

So that should keep me busy for some time. I will post some pics of my body mount dilemma and hope for some input.

Trying, it's getting tougher to do paint work with the temps falling. :doh:

I was directed to look at Green Sales for the Spring Perches. They have several in stock at $35 ea. so that is what I am asking for my Xmas gift :D . They are a great company if you need old ford parts.

Well not much news. I had car trouble just before Xmas. We were doing a couple of errands and our 2012 Ford Focus when it shut off. A message displayed on the dash to get service now. We called to Ford towing service and waited for 20 minutes on hold so we tried it again and it started. We jumped in and drove home. Turns out there was a recall that covered part of the problem as well as the Crank Sensor needing to be replaced. We picked up the car on Wednesday morning drove around the front of the dealership and by 4pm we left with a 2015 F150 4x4, car problem fixed. :D

Now back to work on the truck tomorrow.
