I think the seats look great. Probably not the look you were going for but still a great look nonetheless. Door panels look sweet! Are you doing all black interior?

Thanks for the kind words, that makes me feel a lot better about them! Just will have to get used to 'em...

The inside of the cab will be sprayed w. white, and the carpet, seats, dash pad, door panels, arm rests, door panel cups will be black. The original headliner is in good shape, so will respray it the original off white color.

Sounds like it'll look good. I rattle canned my headliner a rustoleum almond color and it came out nice, not sure if it's close to factory color but it works for me.

I used 7770 almond gloss enamel rustoleum. Got it at Home Depot. Did my rims door panels and headliner with it. It's nice cause you can use it to touch up. I've already touched up my door panels from getting nicked.

Seats remind me of a king cobra, not the car, the snake. I would have to redo the if they were mine.

Hi everyone! Apologies for the lack of posts...between backyard projects, kids, wife doing her masters and summer vacation, I lost interest in the project a bit. My bodyman plugged away at the project slowly between insurance jobs, and as soon as I figured out there was no way of getting it back finished during summer 2017, I concentrated on other things. The good news is I should be able to take delivery sometime this January. :D! In the meantime, I'll post some pics to get caught up here...

Here is the cab after receiving primer followed by some topcoat. This is not the correct color - just some paint that Ken had laying around to seal things in.

(yes, that is a 70's Challenger in the background - Ken has about 5 or 6 of them. After my project is done, I think he plans to work on his own stuff)

This is one project I was busy with this summer - this shed is currently storing truck parts among other things:

Image
Built and framed from scratch. Ordered the transom windows, side windows and hardware from shed-parts.com

Image
Painted door trim and added painted smartboard door panels.

Image
This is about where I ran out of siding. Good thing the retailer I use sells siding by the piece

(finished approximately Nov 2017 - sometime before we got this snow)

Ken (bodyman) insisted that I do something with the frame - I was okay with leaving it rusty and raw, but he convinced me to throw some POR15 on it. He did the etch, followed by the POR15 base and topcoat. The topcoat probably wasn't needed, but when exposed to UV light I understand it will get a white haze. If going through the trouble, I thought may as well do it right.

Turned out Ken pulled the powertrain off to get it done right. Looks really, really good! :D

Oh yeah - I guess a final paint reveal as well! More pics to follow...

Cab and fenders starting to come together:

Image
Apologies for the colour - looks almost yellow here, but I assure it is Wimbledon White. I don't quite recall if the cab floor was painted in Raptor liner at this point, but the floor and underside of the cab (and box) got the UPol Raptor treatment.

More clearcoat and polishing to follow - not finalized at this point.
