Just.got.back.from autozone. Guy there was a ford guy. Got new fluids..new gaskets. New.filters. Some wiring stuff. Hopefully i can get this motor ok. Than on to brakes and trans. Which i got fluid.for and thats about it if my.memory serves. Didnt have the new pan or screen.
Its.ok. more stuff.for.later.
Gaskets i got.were oil.pan. carb mount. Carb to air filter. O and the valve.cover gaskets. Which told.me its either a 360 or 390 motor. Think thats it. Easy hopefully.

Today the main job was finish scrapping the old gasket area with a flat head. Also a metal brush came in handy. I put new cork gaskets in. Ignitor got actual nuts on it so thats good. Fired right.up once i remembered i forgot the main line from the ignitor to the cap. Lol

Make sure you rinse it off. I had a fuel leak on my old f100 and the gas dripped down and gathered on my radius arm bushing. Didn't take long and the bushing started falling apart. Then the steering went to pot.

Is that like an old school tie rod? A lot of those bushing already look pretty shot and i planned to attack em.one day here. Thanks though ill deff hose it all down.

Got a lot.of.stuff today and got.some work done.
New oil and filter. new fuel filter .new plugs and wires. All done.
Got a new cap and electronic igniton kit to eliminate.points and condensor. Im gonna wait on my buddies for this. Got the tranny filter. Some anti freeze. Vac module tranny. Should i replace the one for the distributer? Prob that hose too?
Changed a spongy hose from the carb to the tranny vaccum line. Done easy peasy
No more clamps and large hose for my fuel line either. New hose was tight but thats a good thing lol. Done

Tomorrow i would.like to bleed.my brakes. Any points tips or heads up? Was told the right rear tire is the one i wanna bleed. Is that passenger or driver side?
Was gonna submerge the line in fluid and let out the air well.all the other tires.are.on the ground...is that ok?

That and id like to work on my tranny. I got the new vaccum.module and some extra hose. New pan gasket and filter. Messy i.hope.not. thinking a.tarp.lay down and bucket or.something.

I replaced all but one of my fuses in my instrument panel.
The tiny stuby 14a. Ill find one here hopefully. Locally.
Trucks coming along. Pulled the bench seat today and it layed right over. Found an extra knob set up and an old crow bar. Score!
Lots to do. Ill get some pix so its not so boring and nooby mechanic talk.

Hey guydude maybe try a different battery. My truck was always dead and not charging. Checked all my wiring but ended up being a bad battery.

You should only have the three wires. I think it's the black wire on yours possibly the green one... I know it's one of the outside ones doesn't belong haha. Did that take care of your problems? When I redid my voltage regulator wiring I sanded all the posts on my alternator to get good contact. Also sanded all my grounds.

I dont know i havent tried it out yet. According to the diagram/schematic on here. It shows 4. 3 wires and a ground wire. I unwrapped electical tape today thinking i would find exposed, frayed, brittle wires but most looked good. My ignition was wired into one of my alternator plugs. If that or i make any sense. Lol
