question. Can the soldered points touch? Or do I need to wrap em/heat shrink em individually before together.

Solder is a conductor so if the soldering from two different connections touches you'll have problems. Make sure you get the solder paste as well. Solder doesn't "stick" without paste. Solder gun needs to be shiney clean too.

Use rosin style solder and a 15w tip style iron. If I'm doing battery cables I'll use a propane popper torch to heat the terminal up. Typically I'll use sta-cons and remove the plastic cover. Crimp the wire and solder them before putting heat shrink on. If I need to connect to lengths of wire I'll slide the shrink on first and then solder them together. I'll try to post something up in the electrical section. Currently doing a tractor rewire.

I havent soldered.since high school. Nearly 10yrs ago. It was more art than electrical. Stained glass in shop class.

Got this accel electronic ignition kit to eliminate points and condensor. Ill have to get timing done when this comes into play

So i went to my 1st swap meet. It was a 4x4 one but i still found old ford stuff i thought i could use
I paid $10 to get in and $30 on parts. All i had to spend.
Ended up with the following. Anyone I.D. this carb? Its 2 barrel but no name brand on it. It dosent have an electic choke on it so im hesitant to swap it out. Could i use it to rebuild mine? It does have the accelerator pump on it.

Got these 68-72' ?! Side hood emblems. They were in good condition i thought. Only problem and i reliezed when i got home....two right hand sides. Urgh. Lol.

I ordered my correct yr ones yesterday.

Hey nice score! I've never been to a swap meet but I need too. Your truck sits nice; did you lower the back end? My old f100 had a wicked rake in the back before I lifted it.

U deff need to go to a swap meet lone ranger. Nows the time to stock up on parts.

I dont know. This is how i bought it. The driveline is split and comes up to a big brackett piece. That i need to replace. Lol ill throw a pic up cuz i dont know what im talking about.

Working on the truck today. Tranny pan drop is a hell of a job. Like messy. Hey that could be a drink name.
Anyway. Dropped my pan. Fluid is dark. Screen clean and modulator on back holds fluid. Not really what i was hoping.
Edit. I drive it putting my hand out the window and down for braking and last time i went to recycle all my used oil at the dump and the driver side was a lil wobbly. Well. The whole dang tire was loose. I only have 4 nuts on each tire. O and i found a ton of sand in my driver side rotted out cab support.

All the sand and rot out of the cab support. New one is on the way. The weld step will be a bit of a jump. I can cut it out and do the clean up but im prob gonna have to ask someone as i dont even have a welder.

I dont know if these even help u . Its just leaf springs in the back and shackled up in the middle

That little bracket on the drive line is the carrier bearing; they swap easy. I think I got one from napa for 15 bucks. Just grab the drive shaft by it and try to see if there is any slop in the bearing. See if other u joints have slop too. They make a lot of weird banging when they go bad... They are a bit more work to swap out.
I just found out there is a swap meet April 17 a few hours south of me and it's already on my calendar
Is your truck cream color? I like it
