Autolite 2100 choke cable holder?

Post by grandpas68f100 »

Alright guys... you haven't failed me yet so gonna keep going to the well hoping for continued success. I purchased a rebuilt autolite 2100 carb. For my 68 f100 360. Like a rookie I returned the core before I got everything back together. Now I am missing the bracket that holds the choke cable. Mounts with 2 screws on the passenger side. I cannot locate one to purchase. I have a picture of the origional but can't get it to upload bc it says it's too large.

Unless you can find someone with an old 2100 laying around to scavenge parts from, you're probably stuck with adapting an aftermarket bracket. Here's a kit for a Mustang that looks like it has a similar setup but at $70 it's a bit rich for my taste http://www.mustangsetc.com/hi-po-manual ... rsion-kit/ You might try calling these guys to see if they have any spare parts available as they don't list them on their websites.
