Manual choke question Carter YF

Post by stldesign »

Carter YF 7133S

Rebuilding carburetor and noticed when I removed it the manual choke is sloppy and needs replaced.

Cant find a new one anywhere!! Ideas??

Can I modify to auto choke? If so what is involved and where do I get parts?

Thanks MIKE

Cant find one mikes carburetors says he can't get them.

Doorman the people that make all the misc. hardware parts you see at autozone have something similar.

I already got a heated type choke so i'm going to try that.

My son was having fun starting the car with the manual choke on the dash. to him it might as well be a model T.

Hey autozone should have an eldelbrock cable and I think dennis carpenter has the replacement for it as well if your looking to put a manual choke back on it.
