Exhaust manifolds 1973 302 F100. What will fit?

Post by Mispeld »

I just picked up a 73 F100 with a 302 C4. Someone put headers in and cut into the transmission crossmember to get them to fit. Of course the shift linkage didn't work, so they ripped it off the column and put a floor shifter in. I installed a replacement column and fabricated a new shift linkage to work around the header. I don't want these headers. What are my options? The only pre '80 truck in the boneyard is a 77 without the 302 or 351w. I saw an 86 and 93 F150s with the 302. Are the exhaust manifolds interchangeable? Does anyone know what would be compatable with my 1973? I know the originals are restrictive. Maybe later models are better?? I don't know. Thanks.

Practically any truck exhaust manifold from a 302 will work, preferably 1979 or earlier. Summit Racing sells them new for around $75 each https://www.summitracing.com/search/bra ... =Ascending Just pick the one that matches up to your exhaust pipe, ball/socket or donut gasket, and is pointing in the proper direction. Might have to have new lead pipes put on your exhaust to mate them up. Also check EvilBay, I see a few different sets on there.
