What exactly is the DSO? Is that just what District ordered it? My 72 has the DSO for Dallas.

Direct Service Order. Do not know exactly what that means, other than specific locations were given codes... thus they were more than likely some kind of fleet vehicle orders. But, I am certain that our fellow fordificators can elaborate, so I defer to them.

DSO stands for District Sales Office. A 2 digit code is a regular production unit where the digits indicate the sales office; a 6 digit code is a special order (like a non-stock paint color or some other non-regular production option) where the first 2 digits are the sales office code and the remaining 4 are the special order number.

The Dallas district (61) covered all dealers in north central Texas and all of Oklahoma. Looks like your truck has stayed close to home.
