Fuel Smell in Cab

Post by Jimbo »

I filled up my cab tank and now when I open the door to get in I can smell gas fumes. Do not see any leaking. Gas gage is not working right so do not know if I am loosing gas. Any one have any Ideas what it might be? Thanks for any infomation that you can pass along. Jimbo

You probably have a pin hole leak in the rubber hose behind the seat that connects the tank to the filler neck. I have heard that radiator hose will work, but if it was me I would get the proper hose. Your local auto parts store should have it, but if not, I know Dennis carpenter does. www.dennis-carpenter.com
Get this fixed. Gas fumes are not known for doing positive things to brain cells. They make you forgetful.
