Pinion seal

Post by massillon preacher »

Pinion seal was leaking out the sides, changed the pinion seal now its leaking out the flange nut area, is the flange nut not down far enough? I have rear end out of truck and after I changed pinion seal I put cardboard under rear end with the flange part hanging down towards card board, no leak at all after 24 hours but it's been about 72 or more when I look today and I can see it coming from the nut area?
