C4 to a c6 Swap

Post by jf100 »

I have a 1969 F100 that has a c-4 transmission in it. I am putting in a c6 that is from a 1978 van 351 small block. Does the yoke from the c-4 coming out of the transmission fit into a c-6 transmission? If not what do I need to get to make this work. The truck is a 2 piece driveline. Thanks for any help with this.

My memory tells me that there is a difference in the diameter of the output shaft from the C-4 to the C-6 so it won't fit.
I used to have a few more sources but DANA should have it.
