Brake Booster Recommendations?

Post by Clunker »

I am replacing some of the brake components on my 1970 F250 CS, and I want to replace the booster because I suspect it has a leak. Can someone recommend a brand? Also, it looks like there are several different configurations, and not all of them are a direct swap. Any input on ordering/installing would be greatly appreciated.

i used the autozone website and looked at some until I found one in my year/make that matched. then swapped it out with one of their re-manufactured units. was same as the unit i started with.

I just used one from AutoZone as well. I think it is a Cardone rebuilt, single diaphragm. In my case, it was an easy swap. No compatibility issues. The only difficulty is that there's not a lot of room to get your hands in there. My '67 has the switch where the pedal and booster connect, so it was a pain to get everything together. What configuration differences are you concerned about?
