Power steering bracket hole not lining up.....

Post by Ohiotinkerer »

Started doing a test fit of my p\s bracket and pump and discovered the 2 bolts on the water pump are right but the hole in the bracket that attaches it to the head is off about 1/2 an inch towards the right as you are standing in front of the engine. The bracket is the stock setup with the 3 studs on top our bumps came with and the engine is all stock and was wondering if anyone else had this problem....... :?

I ended up bringing it with me to work and enlarging the holes a little but then discovered it needed spacers to get the pulleys to line up......... :cuss: Taped a bunch of washers together to give me something to mic and made some out of aluminium rod........now just waiting on a drivers side engine perch and I can get it all together! I thought (wrong as usual) that it would just bolt on and be ready to go.......that's what I get for thinking......
