Front brake hose brackets

Post by Ron_Hall »

Hi guys...
anyone know where I might be able to find a pair of 73-79 front brake hose brackets? Or diagram to make them.

Many Thanks.

Let me dig around in my "pile o' parts" this weekend. I made some for my truck and went ahead and made spares while I was at it. If I can find them, they're yours.

Sorry, Ron. Guess I either already gave them to somebody or just plain lost 'em. Dug around the piles, boxes and tubs of parts and couldn't find them anywhere. Couldn't find the drawings I made on the computer either. Sux!

That's ok, Thanks for looking!! I found a junk yard in Fresno, ca that has some and will ship them to me for $25 so, I can live with that. Yours look so much better.
Do you know if these brackets are even needed? I have 79 f150 hoses that are 19 1/2 inches long and seem to fit ok. :?
here a pic...

Thanks again.
Ron

I've seen where others have just used the drum brake brackets without issues. Your hoses look a little short to me but as long you have full wheel travel without binding they should be ok. That block is just a distribution block, not a proportioning valve. You should get a proportioning valve if you're going to disc front. Good discussion here. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... hp?t=79624
