Since I'm lifting the 67 4", I'm thinking 33" 16.5 are going to be to small. I am considering 37's on 17 alloy wheels either 8 or 9 inches wide. Any input good or bad. I don't want to lay out the big bucks w/o talking to you folks :)

I have 14.5 wide 35's and the 4in skyjacker's up front and a 2.5 add a leaf in the rear giving me 11in up front from the top center of tire to the fender and 8in in the rear. 37's will fit but if you wheel it hard and get at some angles with the wheels cranked to one side they are going to rub. The Sky springs will move the axle about 1.5in forward which helped alot. here are some straight on's of the pitbulls. they are a true 35in tall. I know 35-36's will be my max with the 4in lift plus what gear ratio do you have? 4.10's with 35's is about perfect with some grunt while still getting mileage, 37's will be better with gas if it's mostly freeway but stop and go or wheeling will suffer a little with an auto but with a stick might be getting by just right.

Nice Crew, Going to have to rethink the 37's a little. I'm worried about pulling this truck has 4.56's front and rear. I have 4.10 44 front's and I think I have a set 373 some place for the d60, I'm sure finding a d60 rear w/ 4.10's wouldn't be to hard.
1 more question I would like to know back spacing and off set, if you know.

If I understood the last response right.....if yer thinking of running 37's you'd want to keep those 4.56's.... Not go back to 4.10's or 3.73's....

Not to throw a wrench in anyones plans, but 35" tires really are the max limit of what you can run under a highboy without throwing money and time into the truck to make things work. Over 4" you'll need custom springs, front driveline angles are too steep for a low pinion and you either have to cut fenders or lift it to the sky to clear.

35"s look good, why not just comprimise? I had a 4" suspension lift and a 3" body lift on my '70 with 35X12.50 BFG muds at one time and the lift did not look too big for the tires. That sucker was tall too. All personal preference though.

Current 33 12.5 16.5s w/ 4" Skyjacker front and rear, not all put together yet, I haven't spent any money on tires and wheels yet so I'll just wait and see.

I gotta disagree on this one. I had just an add a leaf to level the truck and with very minimal trimming of the front fenders I ran 35's on 10" wide wheels. Wheeled it too. Not nicely. My 36's on 8" wheels look small now with a 4" lift. I think some skinny 38's would easily clear everything on my truck without the need to use a body lift. Let's face it-most NW truck's can't take a body lift anyway.....mine included. As for the Low pinion 44- never broken anything on it or in it or near it and I've had the truck about 10 years- 7 of them with the 4" lift. Correct wheel width and backspacing can go a long way to making things fit too. My .02 anyway

You cut the fenders; That's what I was getting at. If your fine with cutting fenders it's no big deal. Most guys aren't, not on a nice old truck atleast.

All I trimmed was the inside lip at the bottom corner....Didn't change the look of the truck at all. It would have cleared 35's no problem on 8" wide wheels. My problem was the 10's. Anyway, I have a clean set of fenders I will be putting on in the near future and I still think 38's (skinny ones) will fit with no mods other than the 4" lift. All trucks are different though.

They are all different. The 4" springs I had sat higher than most too and I have the 60 under it which is good for a 1/2" over a 44.

I like the look of 460crew's truck. I like the top of the tire even with the top of the lower body line. That's how these trucks sat from the factory and it just looks right to me.
