Dana 44HP headers

Post by Doug Comer »

My cousin is fixing up his 68 highboy. I've been helping ALOT. He picked up a set of headers form a 74 f-100 4x4. This truck has a high pinion front axle. We are in the process of rolling a 78 dana 44 high pinion under his truck. He wanted me to ask you guys if these headers will fit. I'm kinda on the fence on this one. :hmm: Thanks for your input. I'm curious to see how this works out just from the standpoint of the headers were for an F100 4x4 and you are putting them on an F250 4x4... When looking at headers for my Highboy they showed different part numbers between models and they are constructed different :dk: if they will work because of that... but the High Pinion part shouldn't make any difference as the headers aren't close to the center section anyway and the axle tube are still in the same place. :2cents:

I'm not "Brand Loyal" Ford-Chevy-Dodge-Toyota I have them all, one even cross mixed...
If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...

The problem I ran into was the collectors hit the driveline on the HP. Thats why I had to run blockhuggers. :?
