Heater control

Post by lloyd70cs »

Hi guys

Just got my truck back from some welding and everything inside is back in place except one thing. My heater control lever won't slide into either defrost or Floor heat. Stuck in the middle. It worked fine before the shop visit. ???

If the welding required removing the control unit it is possible that the cables were reversed during installation. Been a while since I had mine out but I seem to remember doing the same thing when I was working on it.

Could have grounded through the cable and welded itself.
