1967 hood

Post by Cheryl »

You folks are SO helpful! I need some help finding a hood for our 1967 Ford f100 pickup. The one we have is just horrible and will take forever to straighten if that is possible at all. The rest of the truck is pretty good but this hood is a nightmare and I'd like to find a new replacement. Does anyone know where to buy one?
Thanks, Cheryl

sourcing one from a local parts truck seems like the easiest and most cost effective option. update your personal info with city, state location and someone may know of a resource in your area...

Search across the US on www.car-parts.com. I just did one and found about 90 hoods in salvage yards across the US. Sometimes the adds are old but I have pretty good luck with the majority of them being current.

pullandsave.com, two locations in Spokane WA, usually has numerous '67-72's. The "north" location is about 20 minutes from my house, they currently have a '67 in stock.
too many Fords, no where near 'nuff time.

or, money.

NPD is selling new reproduction hoods. I called for a price once to see what they went for. About $350 plus delivery.

I found it in their 11th edition catalog on page 205.

Was surprised to see hoods being reproduced, I paid $500 for a dent free/no rust hood 2 years ago.

Would be curious if anyone has bought a repro and what the quality is or was.
