what about the volt reg? do you scrap it and wire to the newer plug?

I never had any battery problem with 208 watt stereo and my 100.2 amp amplifier. And extra marker lamps everything was brite except the cluster.

Yes, just disconnect the reg unless you use the product from PA where it is replaced.

I just wanted to say thanks...this is one of the reasons i love this site...

I spent 1hr today before work looking in every one of our alternator boxes at my work (Autozone hanover park IL) and i think the one i found that i thought would work was that alternator right there...i'll check the part # when i get back to work tomarrow but it sure looks like the bugger...i guess i shoulda checked here first :D :oops:

wait! more's law dictates: two alternators are better than one....hmmm i like this theme... :lol:

Note i tried today to hang one on my 67 camp spec with the low hung brackets and the alt hit the front crossmember since it was highboy which would fit that clarko.....

HiBoy's different frame. Use one from same year 3.8. Smaller hole spacing.

I have scrapped the regulator and have a 1 wire set up, gm style. Leaves the compartment clean and its simple.

I have a 91 sable. Just wondering what I need off it?? Just the alt. or some of the wiring too??

Grab the plug off the back and like 2 feet or more of the green with red stripe wire. It'll sure make it simpler to wire.
