Hi Guys,
Has anyone here changed their heater box resistor. I believe this is what gives you different speeds on your defroster. If anyone has changed this, where did you source the part from? I can't seem to locate a new one anywhere. Thanks, Pete

I pulled mine from the parts truck but you can also find them in the wrecking yards.

Not sure about the heater only resistor but the one for a factory heat/AC/defrost unit was compatible to the one for a '69-'70 Torino http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 3&start=45 about 2/3 down the page. Get one from a reputable dealer for a similar year Mustang, Torino or Galaxie. Buy it from someplace that accepts returns, just in case, but I bet it works fine.
