Post by RustRed »

Cannot find 1971 wiring diagram! Using 1972 and it does not include back up how wiring connected to fuse panel. Anyone know? It may go to fuse panel from outside of firewall straight into backside of fuse panel.
Help me people :fr:

Memory serves me right-you're right. Seems like my original four speed tranny got power from the firewall side then ran down through the tunnel area. I later used the circuit on mine to power my electric choke on my Motorcraft 2150.
Look for wire #140A (black with red stripe) might help.

:fr: Thank-you Jeff for the help. I have been cruising the forum and not signing in for different reasons. I apologize for the delay in a reply.
Now I have learned an amazing amount about my truck.
I need to replace 2 connectors (male & female) c-24 @ D-33 Assembly 7E203 for standard trans on 1972 Master Wiring diagram. Male connector has M8814 embossed on a rubber type 4 pin 5 wire flat connector. wires are to circuits 950 Bk from windshield switch to back-up switch. 140 circuit BK/R from fuse panel to I think windshield switch. 140A BK/R to back-up switch. Circuits 32 & 32A There is a photo od connector on wiring diagram P-8899 listed under the wiring diagrams for Instrument Panel (Printed circuit) 1970/72 F100/350 These are unique connectors because some pins have 2 wires coming from them  Anyone dealt with this before??????? :fr:

So sorry for the delay in this answer but dealing with RA and getting a home ready to sell so I don't have as much RA pain next winter.
Those connectors would be obsolete, (doubtful if you'll even find NOS of them).
You'd have two options-one of which will be the junkyards and the second being a REPOP company here somewhere on the net that makes aftermarket wiring connectors. There is one company here somewhere, (I've crashed a puter and long since lost the bookmark to them) that specializes in aftermarket connectors for our older Ford trucks. Maybe try to google "aftermarket Ford wiring" or "aftermarket Ford wiring connectors"? :(
