voltage reg for instrument panel

Post by 1guydude »

Hi all
Been awhile since I posted sorry. Life gets in the way sometimes or takes up ur time...
Im looking at getting a volt reg for my instrument panel. Should I order the constant one or the mustang one? Its on ebay if u type in 1967 ford f100 instrument panel voltage regulator. Or volt reg instrument panel.
Maybe I should look at mine 1st eh? Or just go to the auto parts store...
Hope all is well everyone. Any advise is welcome from u all here.
Im hopefully gonna get some of that working and the gas gauge here soon.

Another recent thread here a guy was recommending using a cheapo cell phone charger, (drops the voltage just like the IPVR down to 5 volts).
but if it were mine I'd put in a good quality part as the gas gauge makes life hard when it stops working.
Here's the DC version for your 67':
