steering arm on the knuckle hitting shock

has anybody had this problem ?is crossover the only way to fix it? also i have the older style post shocks and need shock brackets for the front axle. any ideas? and if anyone has a good way to do cross over. i have power steering from 78/79 ford. thatnks.

My cousin has this problem on his truck. I wondered if a guy could adjust the stops on the knuckle to prevent it? the bad part is this would reduce your turning radius. :o

I had this problem on my 69 F250. PO swaped in a dana 44 and steering box from a 77 and when the arm came back the shock got destroyed. All I did was make some new lower shock mounts and welded them to the axel so that the arm would clear. It just slips by now, and haven't noticed any performance problems by changing the shock angle.

just give me a couple of days. just got the front end appart right now, Installing new ball joints. I'll get a better picture when it's all back together and measurments for you too.
