LMC TRUCK Review and Order Update.

Post by SomersMerc »

I just got my 3 quotes from LMC Truck for my $313 dollar order.
Shipping to Canada\
FED EX: Over $200.
USPS: $128. plus any taxes, brokerage fees etc.
UPS: $146. which includes all other fees.
So the cheapest, UPS will still be 1/2 the cost of my entire order.

OUCH!!!!

I bit the bullet since I do not seem to have a need to place a order any time soon after this. Plus it is just easier for me at this time. If I do, I might just have it shipped to Montana Shipping Warehouse (?) next time. Another buddy sometimes orders parts from various places in the US and has them sent to the Montana place. We will then make a road trip and pick it up in Montana. I know that their fees are pretty cheap.

Anyways thanks for everyone's input.

tom at flashback f100s is a member here and has the best quality parts and best shipping rates. why not use him?
Chris is right, Tom is a great guy to deal with. I bought a fender from him for my 69. He's a class act for sure & the first place I check to buy sheet metal or any truck parts from. google flashback f100 and you'll get his site.

I bought new chrome hood side reflector name plates from DC and I see they are pitting already :x ..... otherwise I have been real happy with DC stuff.

I ordered from LMC several times, and I felt I was in the dark most of the times, the customer service reps for one has no knowledge about automobile parts or any experience in automobile in general, the famous response is "you need to check with your mechanic to see if the parts work. LOL. I want to buy parts from you but I need to check my mechanic. woooow. The other thing I felt uncomfortable with LMC, is the shipping charges, lol. They really know how to pass the savings. Check out summit racing, at least they are knowledgeable about automobile, and they offer technical hotlines to tech which are normally the manufactureres reps.

I'm torn on LMC. It's only a 3 hour drive up to the Lenexa address so I'd save a bunch on the shipping (that would become the state tax, but oh well. ) But if the quality is lacking, why spend the money on crap that'll hafta be replaced?

i have bought quite a few things from them, so far no problems.. i did however just order front end bushings from them for my 69 bump and when i got my order i checked to make sure everything was thier, and i was shorted a bushing... so i called them right away and the customer service lady i talked to took care of it and sent one out right away. said i should have it in 2-3 days. so i guess i cant complain about that.
