Dropped the transmission again. Took it to the transmission shop, they fully rebuilt it (after i rebuilt it and didn't have 3rd gear) and found that one of the filters got clogged front fabric strands from the rag i used to clean the parts. Figures!
Put the trans back in and i now have 3rd and overdrive. Truck drives like a dream at 70MPH. Super stoked. Hauls ass too...

Put a lot of miles on it in the past couple days.

Today while forklifting the truck I noticed a wheel just about fall off. Investigated it. I didn't tighten the lug nuts on the right rear apparently when i put the truck together. Destroyed the slot mag wheel, wheel studs, rotor and hub. Truck's down again...
Struggling to make it to cantina. I ran out of funds a long time ago. Built my front driveline but am having quite a bit of front driveline issues too.

Glad to hear you found 3rd gear and overdrive! And sorry to hear about that rookie mistake of loose lug nuts. Be glad you found the problem before the wheel came off perhaps while driving 70! That could have been bad! It seems at times during these big projects, that you can be plagued be so many little issues but just remember there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I look forward to seeing the continued progress of your build.

Yep i'm very fortunate the wheel didn't come off while i was scootin'!

Warranty'd the rotor at autozone, picked up new wheel studs, and bandaged the passenger rear back together. Need a new hub still, but it's run-able for now.
Luckily a buddy was able to mount some old steelies i happened to still have for me!

Pulled the flatbed, finished up the body work on the back of the cab and roof, and shot the roof and back of cab finally.

Spent all day cleaning up little things, and doing a full bolt check, then loaded it up with some gear.
Headed to the Rubicon tomorrow!

Long story short, wheeled it to spider, then kept going towards buck a ways, then back to spider, then back to loon. Truck did ridiculously well. No tire spin and idled through it all.
Didn't put a scratch on it.

I'm not sure what happened here but this rock definitely came out of no where, no doubt about it.

Looks like fun, I miss going up there! I've never got to ride the Rubicon by four wheel drive, but I've always rode my dirt bike on it. But I have to say, I've always enjoyed watching the wheelers go over all the large rock and getting it up on three wheels. Cool pictures, thanks for sharing!
