Re: 72 F250 CV Swap and LS1
Thanks...I love the colors! Haven't got much of anything. My friend that's helping me out and letting me use his shop wants to wait until wheels arrive so we can make sure everything fits right. That and I've been working a bunch.

Re: 72 F250 CV Swap and LS1
American racing Shelby cobra wheels. 4.65 bs was the most back spacing they offered on front and I was pretty nervous they wouldn't fit. I figured I'd go mii if they didn't fit as I really like they wheels. Set the front clip on and it looks like they are going to be fine. Will know more when I get tires and can set it on the ground. Backs have 3.75 bs and fit great! Sorry I didn't get more pics I space it out.

That looks sharp. It sits just right and the wheels are the right offset.
Its not what YOU know, but WHO you know......

Thanks forderpickupman! I'm so happy I went with the wheels that I did. In2ford sorry I can't help ya on the questions right now I don't remember the size of tire. Oh but they do seem to fit really good. Below is a pic of the reason I never get much done on the pickup. Just spend all my time driving or working on trucks. I'll try to get to shop soon and get ya the tire size.

Re: 72 F250 CV Swap and LS1
No to hijack his thread. I am running a 20x8.5 with a 5.5" backspacing and although it clears on the inside just fine I rub the fenders pretty good on turns entering a driveway. Its better with the big sway bar on the front. Fenders are not rolled or cut. I would not even call the truck very low either.
That equates to an et19 where yours is an et3. Think my wheels are pushed out pretty far.
I would not think that you will clear unless you run a skinny tire on there and keep the fender a fair bit above the top of the tire.
Just for shits and giggles. I have some 19x8.5 et50 on the front of my truck right now and it clears the sway bar and lower control are in the rear, its close but it steers lock to lock no issue.
Ill be running 10" wheels in the front on this truck, cut roll and push on the fender likely.

Re: 72 F250 CV Swap and LS1
Hey guys...no progress yet been on the road. I did stop by the shop and turned it both ways as far as it would go and it clears fine. However if I hit a bump it would rub so I plan on cutting some of the lip off and rolling them a bit.
Thanks for the complement...it lived in new Mexico for most of its life with my great aunt and uncle. They used it to go fishing , it still had the camper shell on it and was full of fishing gear when we got it from them in 94. My grandpa drove it for a couple years then parked it in a counset until I got to it this year.
