Anyone have a picture
Does anyone have a picture of the crossmember that goes below the transmission on a 2 wheel drive? Not the removable transmission crossmember but the riveted one right above the trailing arm frame brackets? A PO cut mine out and I need to build a new one but would like to see what stock one looks like. Thanks in advance.

Here's a few that I have. Not sure it shows you enough to do what you need.

Couple more. Check the build thread in my signature and you might find some other shots that are useful. First 20 or so pages.

Re: Anyone have a picture
I have my plan to fix my frame but does anyone have a measurement from the top of the frame to the top of the crossmember? Also top of frame to bottom of crossmember? And finally how wide at the narrowest part of the it? Thanks in advance.

Re: Anyone have a picture
Bottom of x/m to top of frame = 9-3/4".
Top of x/m top of frame = 7-1/2".
Inside Top narrowest part of x/m = 20-1/2"
Give or take 1/8". Bunch of crap under/around my truck but that's pretty darn close.

You know they bolt in on FE/C6 trucks - so you could just go junk yarding ...

Re: Anyone have a picture
Mine was a 360 with C6 and the previous owner cut it out but the truck was pur together it looks like from a few trucks so... Plus I plan on taking the radius arm mounts off to clean up the frame (CV installed already). I could look around for one but I just figured i would make one.

Re: Anyone have a picture
So I went looking for a crossmember that would unbolt today at a salvage yard and found one that unbolts on top but is riveted on the radius arm brackets. Also if you look at Sargentrs pictures his shows the same thing. They quoted me $75 with over half that in labor to get it. I'm going to check a couple more places tomorrow but I'm probably going to just make my own. Thanks anyway

Re: Anyone have a picture
Mine had a rivet on each side as well. Someone had removed them at some point and left the hole empty. I just put a bolt in it.

Re: Anyone have a picture
Some were riveted in. Some had all bolts. I've got two of them. Can email or text pics. One of them still has all the bolts I put back in it.
