Bobs F-100 Poor Experience

Post by pawpaws67 »

I was just wondering if anybody has had a bad experience with Bobs F-100 parts in Riverside, CA?

I talked to someone on the phone Friday about a 3 speed manual column shift lever that I needed. He told me they had it and it would be $25. I told him I couldn't come down to get it until today since it's a 75 mile one way trip. He said that was fine but to call today to make sure they still had it. I called today and had a $35 price quoted to me. I told the guy I was talking to that the price was $25 when I called Friday and he said he would honor that. I drove down there today and after rummaging around and finally pulling the lever out of another column the price magically went up to $95! He said the price was so high because he was ruining another column by pulling that part. Then I discovered the exact lever in a box of spare ones that we had been looking through. The price for that one was $80. Needless to say I left empty handed. I had also asked about prices for other things while all the rummaging was going on and was quoted $400 for a pull off fender and $325 for a decent bumper. Am I the only one that thinks thats an astronomical price for a fender?

At any rate, I don't think I will be calling them for parts unless I am in an extreme bind.

Wow. A proctologist posing as a used parts dealer? Yikes.

At our pick and pull (pullandsave.com) fenders are $28. A whole steering column, $28. Shifter, $16. My '67 F250 is sporting a $35 hood and one of those $28 fenders, as well as bunch of little stuff that cost $20, total.
too many Fords, no where near 'nuff time.

or, money.

WOW! I just looked it up and they have a lot of inventory. Makes me wish I lived a little closer. Southern CA to Spokane for parts would be a long trip. I'd have to bring a trailer...

HERE As another major truck vendor is our bad exp. with them,
Few years back building a 56 Panel and called them on panel truck doors, when I called they gave me a price,, so when I called back the price changed a lot then after the 3rd time they then said I never called, WELL I sent my phone bill to show I called 3 times all in within a hour and told them to shove it and still will never recommend them, especially after last year a customer down by Jacksonville, NC ordered a hood and door for a 67/72 truck,, After 1400.00 later he still had nothing << HE DID NOT READ THEIR WEBSITE POLICY >>, had to buy all parts from us, REASON HE HAD NOTHING From Bob's ,,, BOB"S WEBSITE SAYS WE SELL REBUILDABLE PARTS and that's :bs: :bs: ,, To anybody that's does not know what rebuildable parts is ,, Means it's junk with cancer/rust holes and that's is no way to treat customers and most likely more like them out there........ and that is Why we are the Home of Real Ford Truck Parts
