It's gonna be a long day....
Well, I've had today set up for almost two weeks as the day I get my parts truck hauled away, as well as a rusty cab, frame and a whole pile of other misc. parts from other parts trucks. The stuff has just been piling up around the shop and I needed to get things cleaned up.
However, I get up this morning only to discover that yesterday's rain isn't over with yet. Not a hard rain, just the light drizzly stuff that's more annoying than anything else....and I have to be out in in almost all day long.
I go to take a shower, only to discover that all my work jeans are dirty, so I have to do a load of laundry to have something to wear. I finally get the load of laundry done, get on the clean clothes and then go to feed my baby daughter. When she's done, she proceeds to empty the fresh contents of her tummy all over me....so now I need to change again....and I've only been up for 2 hours.
It's gonna be a LONG day.

That stinks. I only have 2 pair of garage jeans so I have to do laundry every Sunday. Supposed to start raining here this afternoon too.
Bumpless for now...

Why do you have to clean work clothes? They're just gonna get dirty anyway.....

Work clothes? I thought all clothes were for working in? Well, except the ones I never wear. Those are "nice" clothes. Oh well, don't know if I could wear a pair of pants that didn't have rips, holes, burns, blood, and grease stains!

Well, if they hadn't been sitting at the bottom of the dirty clothes hamper since last week's working in the shop, I might have just worn them again.
It wasn't so bad....the rain quit after the first couple hours, and I was wearing a poncho, so at least I didn't get drenched. However, the rain made all the dirt roads (and the junkyard) a sticky sloppy mess, and 4WD was mandatory. I just posted a project update page with pics of today's adventures:

Saturday we had to get up and drive a 100 mile round trip to pick up my check since I told them to just leave it in the office as I was running late and I forgot to get it Fri. evening. BTW, we had rain until around noon also. Then had to take one GRANDchild to a carnival in the neighboring town while another was in a parade here at home. I propose working 2 days a week and being off 5.
