wiring in factory duraspark in 68 model

Post by Banjo »

Guys, I'm sorry I'm not smart enough to read wiring diagrams, on the 2 little wires that are separate on the factory duraspark ignition box mounted on the driver inner fender....I'm guessing red one is supposed to be 12 volt.....what is the gray one?
Can someone direct me (considering I'm electrically challenged) an easy way to hook up these wires to get my old truck a-runnin' before the cold winter sets in??? I'm sorry to be a bother, but I'm just not that smart and having a tough time figuring it out despite having printed a schematic.
There is an orange wire poking out from the firewall on this truck ('68 F-100), should that be connected to anything?
THANK YOU! Banjo.

the red wire comming off the ign. box goes to the red/green (i think) comming from your dash, you need to splice that wire so that that wire goes to your coil and your ign box.

the white wire goes to the s termanal on your starter relay
