More good publication news for the Fordification site

Postby 4x4x4crewcab on Sat Jan 06, 2007 12:54 am

I just opened my new Classic Trucks Magazine and besides the fact that it is a SUPER GREAT Ford bumpside issue there is a nice plug for Keith on p. 43. Its the back of someone(maybe our own buckinthebowtie) working on a bump wearing a Fordification T-shirt.
Let me be the first to internet shake the hand of the man (Keith)    :fr:
And thanks Grant for the plug

I got mine this morning...and a bumpside's on the cover, even! It's the Fatman's Fabrications shop truck, along with a full 5-page feature of it inside, in addition to Grant's 6-page article of the Fatman's IFS installation on his '68.

...and yes, there's a very good picture of Grant wearing his FORDification t-shirt.

I've got a few questions for him regarding the Fatman's kit, but I'll start a new thread later on this.

RE: Grants' article. After reading the article on doing IFS - I'm thinking I might have to buy an Art Morrison Chassis. I could not do this myself, so add shop labor to the materials cost (and the rear end and as well), and unless you can DIY, the whole new chassis starts looking a little less expensive.

For those of you who aren't subscribers and will be looking for this issue at your local newsstand, here's a quick scan of the cover:

...and here's the afore-mentioned shot of Grant working on the Fatman IFS kit on his '68:

? I thought the Twin I's where IFS in a sort of old fashioned way?

for instance if you park your 67-96 F100/f150-f350 2 wd truck  in a spot with a pothole say 1-6" deep  under neath the drivers front tire

for the most part only the I-Beam on that side would flex enough to make the truck still sit even.
