Help is here

Post by 1968flareside »

I'm not by any means an electrical wizard. I am proud to say I have tackled the job of installing a new wiring harness (aftermarket) in my '68. I have lots of diagrams and tech articles saved on my cpu. So, if you have a question, shoot it to me. I may have an answer, somewhere!!

I'll do what I can to help. The first tip I would give is to label every circuit you can on the old harness and before removing it. It makes it a lot easier to refer back to those items. If you don't understand now, you will later. Just do it if time allows. I wish I would have before I just started hacking away.

Please bare with me. This is the first time I have done anything like this. here is what happened. Them darn pack rats ate everything. If they could have eaten the key they would have. Anyway I have all the wires spliced and ready to plug but I have not a clue to where they go except for the big black wire and the big yellow wire. This is for a 1969 Ford 3/4ton. If you go clockwise from the Big Black, yellow, blank, purple with strip this is all the evidence I have. Also I have more wires then terminals so I'm thinking two or more wires go to one terminal. Anyone know.

Try this...

This is basically what I have to. If that doesn't help, then let me know. Remember, mine is connected to the aftermarket ign. switch pigtail and harness. So, it won't be exactly like what you have. Good luck!!
