Yes this place already seems to have some good info and for that I'm glad ;)

Who has good restoration parts anyway? I've ordered a catalog from Paddock but I will need a few odds and ends here and there (trim, etc). Right now I'd like to source a fuel tank sending unit switch (for choosing your tank) and maybe a replacement midship tank.

Thanks,
Sequoia

That is a good looking truck. I think you have a good plan, although I don't know if a good 4 or 5 speed Auto will bolt up th the 390. :? But I am sure there will be more than a few guys that will help you out.

As for replacement parts...check out the links at the top of the page and also HERE

WELCOME and hope to see many pictures! (ie Truck Porn, thats what my wife calls it too)

Nah, gonna go with a manual ;)

Basically I have to decide if I go with a modern five speed (Not sure what all is out there for 3/4+ ton rating) or a T98 + AA Ranger overdrive box.

That's down the road though... The only plans for right now are this weekend - Master/Booster change out and some other junk...
