Gift suggestion for Father's Day / Retirement / Birthday

Post by 72stepside »

This year my father has hit the jackpot. All the above listed days are occurring within 2 weeks of one another for him.

I need your help for gift suggestions. I was thinking of a metal chop saw and/or a nibbler. He has a few cars and tractors that keep him busy. I think some major bodywork is just ahead and I thought these would be good for fabricating and so forth.

Anybody got an experience with these or any brand recommendations?

I get WAY more use out my chop saw then my nibbler… I actually kind of hate using the nibbler but it has its place once in a while… The chop saw is good if you fabricate lots of things out of metal, not much you can do for body work with them though…

I have a Hobart 140 welder. It's small, compact, and can do a variety of tasks. One of the best investments I've ever made.

8) cool, hope he likes it  with the tractor and all I think he'll get good use out of it. Plus you can use it if he'll let you at it
