Lincoln 445 or 455? power unit. Price?

Post by two-bit »

The company i work for is liquidating some of there extra welders.
they have these power units made by Lincoln. The model # is either 445 or 455 i can't remember.

Any body got a good idea what this might be worth? Its a closed bid sale situation. Sooo. Kinda hard to tell what they are looking to get out of them.

Currently set up for 3ph, 480vlt.

Thanks

3ph is worthless unless you have that power at your house / shop. Sounds like a bigger machine (too lazy to search for specs)

If it's got copper coils bid $20 on it and scrap it. 3 phase supplies are the best welders you can get, but you can't run 480 3 phase at your house without a $10K converter.

Most residential areas don't have access to it... You have to be next to major main power lines or a business area... And the cost to have it run in if it is even a little ways is OUT of SIGHT
