Jackstand Locations

This may rank up with the dumbest of questions but do you guys put your jack stands on the frame or on the axles? I Don't want to put a dent in the frames.

If you are changing out suspension pieces I guess you would have to put them on the frame but where typically do you put them?

On the frame. Don't put them under suspension components, as they won't provide sufficient stability. You're not gonna dent the frame, but if it's painted and you don't want to scratch the paint, you can fold up a shop rag and put it between the frame and jackstand.
