Bed differences

Post by ttyR2 »

I have a clean bed on my '71 F100 that only has one minor dent in it, and a rusted bed, complete with loads of dents on the '71 F250. They should be a bolt on exchange, right? To mount the side trim on the F250 (it's a CS truck) do you just need to drill holes and install trim clips from some place like NAPA?

Yes, the beds are exactly the same thing....and drilling the holes for the clips is all you need to do to mount the trim.

I'm not sure if you're gonna find those clips at NAPA though...but I could be wrong. Let us know if they do have them. There's a bunch of auctions on E-bay right now for trim clips, and the '68-up versions aren't bad pricewise...but the seller was asking over $2.00 PER CLIP for the '67 narrow-trim clips!

I am pretty sure that LMC has those clips.
