Fitting

Post by OldRedFord »

I need a fitting like the one in the link, but the threaded end needs to be male inverted flare.

Is there such a thing?

Depends on the application. Inverted flare usually gets a good bit of pressure. Those push on hose bibs don't even get s clamp installed when you use the correct hose...

What's the application?

They're made but not common, 5/16 and 3/8 are the most popular. The fittings on inverted thread are straight SAE instead of tapered pipe like your example. What size do you need and whats it for?

Needs to be 5/8-18 thread and a barb for 3/8 hose. It is for my Holley carb. After the whole deal with the chrome fuel line and asking around about it online I will just go with rubber hose for now.

I've got them for 3/8" and 5/16" hoses. They are available at your local parts house (O'Reilly's, Napa, CarQuest, etc.)
Let me know if you can't find one, I'll send you this one.

I think the "MRG-1543" Summit link might be the way to go for you.

So that would thread right into the bowl instead of using the fitting that is there now to reduce down? Like in your picture above.

Yes, if you click on "application" on the Summit link it says it fits Holley and Rochester carbs. Holley fuel bowl is 7/8-20 thread.
