Toy trucks...

Post by mk »

I'm just curious what kind of small replicas of our trucks you guys have found out there. I've got some pics here of some Matchbox trucks I have. I also have a 1/32 scale 67 stepside with a friction motor that I couldn't find in time to get a picture of with my borrowed digital camera. Any of you guys find other types of stuff?

The one that's a "kennel truck" with the clear plastic canopy and little doggies was THE truck that got me into these old girls, it was my favorite matchbox car, bar none.

The yellow one shows up on Ebay from time to time.

Anyone ever seen a model kit of a 67-72?

I've found a couple 73-79 and they go for a lot of $$$$

A kid in my neighborhood had this one when I was about 5. I traded about 5 other cars for this one, because it looked like dads truck. It used to be red, but it was all banged up so I painted it white, like dads truck.

I have seen the red one on ebay.

Here's some pics of a plastic 67 with a front mounted friction motor. Seems to be about 1/32 scale. It was missing the hood when I found it at a garage sale. On the bottom it has printed: Lucky #3125 -made in Hong Kong.
I have yet to come across any other diecast or plastic models of our trucks but if you guys keep emailing AMT/RC2 and Revell or the diecast companies, maybe we can get something done.
