I hear ya, Jeff, made it to the low eighties today here in Bama. Our transition from winter to summer is usually about one day!

Got in from work today and spent a couple of hours fiddling with reawakening the old bump from it's long slumber. Going to get the tags fixed Friday after work. Then a friend from work and I are setting in on a pretty good sized punch list of things to get it ready to roll to the Forge. Planning on it returning to DD status next Monday.

I believe that BC # 16 is pretty close to being ready for the trip-still praying for the time off from work.
Hey...somebody needs to fess up that voted "What's a "Supernational"?
It will be my first Supernational, so I afraid that I can't answer that very well. :D

For everyone following the MNG thread here. We're still trying to pin down a firm location for our meet. Please...if you live anywhere in the Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg of NE TN area and know of a location or could scout out a location let Randy or I know. Getting really excited about this as I am believing it won't be an issue for me to have the time away from my new job to make it to the meet!
It's also a possibility that I might be accompanied by a very special friend along for the ride in BC#16.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier Charlie. Even just a simple parking lot is all we'll need to meet for an hour or so. It would just be real nice to have the owners permission so we didn't ruffle any feathers. I'll bring my 10 X 10 awning just in case it's too sunny. Maybe everyone would want to bring a "bag chair" to kick back in. Wish I were closer to help with the scouting... :(

One month away, time for me to find a room up there for the night!

Got it! Called the city office in Pigeon Forge and got directions to the "city municipal parking lot". Then Google mapped it and got the satellite view, where the "A" red dot is. Looks like there's a big strip mall down a couple hundred feet and across the street, on Teaster Lane, across from Workshop Tools and next to the Coleman Factory Outlet. Looks promising. If anybody's in the area, maybe they'll check it out and see if it's all there and if the map's accurate. The lady said they're in the process of constructing a convention center in that area so it may look a little different.

Jeff, looks like there's a Days Inn on the back side of the parking lot.

Looking at it again, and taking into consideration that there may be construction going on, there might be an area between the parking lot and the construction zone that's cleared off/gravel road for construction worker access. Just a thought.

Randy,

Nice work Randy! And right off of 441 would make it nice and easy to find, looks good! Only concern would be how close it is to the show, (possibility of the lot being filled up early if it's close to the show grounds)?
Jim or Charlie, if your reading can either of ya'll check out the lot? I imagine it would be a metered-"pay by the hour" lot? Is it open 24/7 in case anyone showed up early?

Looking like my budget woes will have me making it one long...day. Drive up four hours / stay for a few / drive back four hours-might not be too fun.
But my possible "shotgun rider" will have me smiling the whole trip. :shh: :woohoo:

That's my plan. Leave about 6 am, get there about 9:30. Leave that afternoon, get home around 7. Whirlwind trip but it'll be worth it! Looking forward to meeting your new "significant other".
